"Bee sting" cake
I made this cake for a farewell on Monday. It was delicious. It is actually called a "Bienenstich" and is very German. If you want the recipe it's on the Mennonite Girls Can Cook website - the link is just over there on the right! Enjoy and impress!
Hey, this is what I last had, or to be accurate, ONE of the things I last got at the German bakery I visit in Marietta. It's too far to go often and usually I combine a trip there with a trip home from Atlanta. If I splurge, it is here. The baker is a nice German fellow,(from Luneberg?),Bernhard Blecken. www.bbbakery.com See what you think. Seems real and good to me.
