Bethany's happy day

Here's where her great day started - you know, the family tradition! She got some neat gifts and even some things she wanted.
Katy drew this amazing picture for her (complete with music staffs) on old paper she found in the upper attic in the attic. It's amazing.
She's got her loot and now it's time to get ready for school.
Katy made this great banner and got it up before Bethany got to school. She taped Bethany's favourite chocolate bar - Peppermint Rittersport - to it and also had a bouquet of roses for Bethany on the bench under the banner.
Here she is with Missy during Study Hall. Looks like lots of studying going on here!
A neat and special thing about today was that Bethany's Christmas wish from the Christmas banquet was fulfilled. What was that, you ask? Well, it was that all the kids in grade 12 who were in grade 8 together could go back to grade 8 for a day. Well, she almost got her wish granted. They were allowed only two periods in grade 8, but they had a blast anyway. Two of their teachers from that year are still here and they really did some neat things for the kids, including a slide show of great memories from that year.
Bethany asked for chicken noodle soup with Ciabatta bread for supper tonight and it turned out to be a great choice. We had a dump of snow this morning which quickly disappeared but as Bethany was coming home for supper, she got caught in another downpour! When it snows here, it's basically white rain and people generally use umbrellas.

Here she is, cold and wet, but happy. It was a great day. She got lots of special cards, notes, hugs and gifts from her friends (and her family too, of course!). We love you, Beth!
