Typical German traffic?

No, it's not very typical. What is more typical in our region is to see small tractors on the highway. Before we came to Germany, someone who had grown up here told us that when we were traveling somewhere we always needed to leave 10 minutes ahead of time, just in case we got caught behind a tractor. It was good advice! As you can see, the highway is pretty narrow and passing can be somewhat hazardous. This is NOT the Autobahn.
