Janz Team hot lunch

Once every semester, I organize hot lunches for our Janz Team kids. This year there are 27 kids at the high school and 6 at the elementary school. Today it was the HS kids' turn so we put together hamburger soup with toppings, buns and my famous Brazilian "Torta de Bolacha". It was all a huge hit, as it always seems to be. Here are two of my faithful helpers, Mary Reed and Doris Frank (thank you for making the delicious buns, Doris!). Both ladies have been faithful contributors to life at BFA for many years and are always willing to lend a hand wherever and whenever needed. I am blessed that they are a part of our mission. THANK YOU ladies!"Torta de bolacha". Quando eu faço esta torta, eu penso no Brasil e sinto saudades! (That was for our Brazilian friends!)
Just an interesting note... All of the JT kids at BFA are home students or staff kids, meaning that they live at home as opposed to the dorm. This is quite an anomaly as every other mission that has people on staff at the school, also has students in the dorms sent here by their parents who are working in other places. Janz Team at BFA exists to give support to the school and to "parent" it.
These young women are both in grade 6. Brianne's (left) father works in the maintenance department and Brooklyn's parents are the dorm parents in the dorm where we sub on Thursdays.
The boy on the right ate 4 buns!
