Hochblauen

This is the famous "Hochblauen" as seen from our street. It is one of the higher hills in the southern Black Forest. It is especially beautiful with a dusting of snow. It takes about 20 minutes to drive up there from town. There are two BFA dorms in the village about 5 minutes below this point. On a clear day you can climb a tower and see the Vosges Mountains in France and the Alps in Switzerland. The building is a hotel with a restaurant where my sister Jean and I once enjoyed a bowl of potato soup.
