On a drive

It is lovely to just go for a drive in this part of the world. It's pretty difficult to find a gravel road here, so one can head off into the woods or along farmer's fields and almost always be on a strip of pavement.
Everything is so green this summer because we've had quite a bit of rain and several cool days mixed in with the heat. Pretty much perfect growing weather. The crops have mostly come off and the bales have been rolled up.
It really is rather beautiful...
