Just kinda random...

Today was a brisk day with a high of about 11 degrees. And it was breezy so it wasn't really the perfect day for a church picnic, which we had anyway. After lunch Howard and I took a brisk walk around town. Lots of people were out doing the same thing. It's such a lovely thing to do on a Sunday afternoon...

The wood is stacked and ready for winter.

You can see the Lutheran church on the left of this picture and the Catholic church on the right.

Gregg and I also went for a "Sonntagnachmittagspaziergang" (don't you love those long German words?!)yesterday afternoon...here in Albert Lea. However, we noticed that goose-hunting season had started...as we heard gun shots nearby the lake we were walking along. I don't think that would happen in Kandern...
Then we were wishing for a little cafe in town, so we could stop for our "Kaffeetrinken" after our walk...unfortunately that's not culturally known here in Minnesota. :-(
It's not easy being a TCA (Third Culture Adult)...
Thankful for your great blogs,
Myriam

Pretty pictures, Eileen. I think you bless us all with your blogshots. Know what the grafted trees are? Peaches/nectarines?
